Operations had been suspended at Birmingham Airport, as West Midlands police respond to experiences of a suspicious automobile.

The location has been described as a “precautionary measure to be particular the protection of passengers and workers,” West Midlands Police mentioned.

“West Midlands Police is currently facing an ongoing incident on-scheme. Airport operations are currently impacted,” a Birmingham Airport spokesperson confirmed.

This is the third event to impact the airport this one year. Holidaymakers had been evacuated from Birmingham Airport in September as police investigated an incident. In April, Birmingham Airport swiftly suspended all flights after there became a security incident on an Aer Lingus plane.
